Girls' Day 2019
Girls' Day is a countrywide event to introduce schoolgirls to disciplines and careers in which women are usually underrepresented. More information on this event can be found here.
This year, it will take place on Thursday March 28th 2019.
Early career scientists in W2W and researchers will offer workshops on this day in Munich (LMU) and in Mainz (JGU).
- At the LMU in Munich, the meteorological institute will host a workshop called "Wind, Wetter und Klimawandel". The participants will take part in a role play to learn about the challenge of climate negociations. They will also experience the everyday life at the institute by hearing about ongoing research and asking questions about studying and working at the institute to early career scientists. - At the JGU in Mainz, the institute for Atmospheric Physics will host a workshop for school girls. More information will be available here soon.
- At KIT in Karlsruhe, the institute of Meteorology and Climate Research will host a workshop for school girls. More information will be available here soon.
