Splinter meeting at EGU (11.04.2019)

Scientists from the DFG collaborative research centers "Scaling Cascades in Complex Systems", "Energy transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean", and W2W, and from the DFG research group "Multiscale Dynamics of Gravity Waves" met informally on April 11th 2019 during the European Geosciences Union (EGU) in Vienna.

Hans Burchard (PI in the CRC "Energy transfers in Atmosphere and Ocean" at the Leibniz Institute for Baltic Sea Research) opened the event by talking about "The role of numerical mathematicians in geophysical fluid dynamics project as seen by an ex-mathematician".

There was a lot of time for discussion afterwards to talk about possible collaborations.
